Dallas Love Field

The City of Dallas owns and operates Dallas Love Field, one of the finest general-purpose airports in the world. The airfield is located seven miles northwest of the downtown central business district and is managed by the City's Department of Aviation. It was Dallas' main airport until 1974 when Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) opened. The corporate headquarters for Southwest Airlines is located at Love Field. The airport is also a focus city for Southwest as well as for Virgin America.
