Bank of America Plaza

A 72-story, late-modernist skyscraper in the Main Street District of Downtown Dallas, Bank of America Plaza is the tallest skyscraper in the city, the third tallest in Texas and the 22nd tallest in the United States. Completed in 1985, the building’s outline is accented at night along all of edges by green argon lighting, informally making it known as “The Green Building. Originally one tower of a four-tower plan, its twin would have been illuminated in purple. The top two floors of the Bank of America Plaza function as a broadcast communications tower, and all point-to-point microwave and fixed-service antennae are concealed within glass communications parapet on the top floor.
