Pegasus Sign at the Magnolia Hotel

Shining brightly as the icon of Dallas, Pegasus, the Flying Red Horse, sat for years atop the Downtown Dallas Magnolia boutique hotel, which is located in the one of the city’s most revered structures, the Magnolia Petroleum Company Building. Built in 1922, this 400-foot-high, 29-story building was the city’s first skyscraper and the first high-rise in the United States with air conditioning.
