Spence Hall at Dallas Baptist University

Formerly known as Dallas Baptist College, Dallas Baptist University (DBU) is a Christian liberal arts university located about 12 miles southwest of Downtown Dallas near Mountain Creek Lake. Founded in 1898 as Decatur Baptist College, Dallas Baptist University currently operates two other campuses in Plano and Hurst. One of the female residence halls at Dallas Baptist University, Spence Hall is an architectural replica of the Wren Building. Thought to be the oldest academic building in America, the original Wren Building was built in 1647 in Williamsburg, Virginia, at the College of William & Mary.
