Parkland Hospital
Replacing the existing 54-year-old Parkland Memorial Hospital, the new Parkland Hospital has advanced medical technology and is one of the most and sustainable hospitals in the United States, caring for more than 1 million lives a year in Dallas. Nearly twice the size of the original hospital, the new Parkland is the largest public hospital building in the nation built in one phase and has been designed to meet the ever-changing needs of the large and fast growing Dallas County. The old Parkland Memorial Hospital is best known as the hospital where John F. Kennedy, his assassin Lee Harvey Oswald, and Jack Ruby, who killed Oswald, died or were pronounced dead.
