Southwestern Medical District

Delivering renowned health care alongside innovative, world-class research and education, the Southwestern Medical District attracts almost 2.3 million patient visits each year to its clinics and hospitals. Providing services from pediatric preventive care to geriatric services and from lifesaving emergency care to heart transplants, the Southwestern Medical District includes UT Southwestern, UT Southwestern Medical School, UT Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, UT Southwestern School of Health Professions and four affiliated hospitals: Parkland Memorial Hospital, Children’s Medical Center, Zale Lipshy University Hospital and St. Paul University Hospital. In addition, the BioCenter at Southwestern Medical District is a 13-acre biotechnology park that is attracting innovative biotech companies to the area and increasing research opportunities.
