Downtown Skyline

Home to 262 high-rises, 28 of which stand taller than 400 feet, Downtown Dallas is the city’s central business district and has a highly recognizable skyline that includes the three of the 10 tallest buildings in Texas. The city’s tallest building (third in Texas and 22nd in the country), the 912-foot, 72-story Bank of America Plaza was completed in 1985 and was one of the first to receive the Energy Star Award for energy efficiency. Also significant in the Downtown Dallas skyline is the city’s second tallest building, the 56-story Renaissance Tower. Downtown Dallas also recently has undergone a series of important changes and skyline additions in four downtown areas: Victory Park, the Arts District, the Trinity River and the Convention Center Corridor.
