Edith O'Donnell Arts and Technology Building at the University of Texas at Dallas

An innovative institution in North Texas on the path to achieving Tier 1 national research university status, the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) has grown since 1969 to include 133 degree programs, with cutting-edge curricula in a variety of disciplines. Named in 2013 in honor of Edith Jones O’Donnell, the Arts and Technology Building at the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) boasts 155,000 square feet. Costing $60 million to build (20 percent of materials were recycled), the new building features an anechoic chamber, 3D art studios, a recording studio, a motion-capture lab and other classrooms for arts and technology. The Edith O’Donnell Arts and Technology Building was selected by the Nasher Sculpture Center as part of a 10-location exhibit called the Nasher XChange.
