Student Services Building at the University of Texas at Dallas

An innovative institution in North Texas on the path to achieving Tier 1 national research university status, the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) has grown since 1969 to include 133 degree programs, with cutting-edge curricula in a variety of disciplines. A one-stop-shop for all University of Texas at Dallas student service activities, the Student Services Building offers general enrollment activities, health services, counseling and a career center with links to the community, financial aid, bursar, registrar and enrollment services and other student groups. Designed to create a welcoming and memorable first impression, the building maximizes positive interaction between students, faculty and staff with a layout that stimulates activity in common spaces through interest, movement and exposure to the functions of the building through a three-story lobby, which opens up the building opens to a central light-filled atrium. From here visitors move vertically up though the building through a central connecting stair and elevator.
