Main Street Garden Park

Main Street Garden is a community gathering place for Downtown Dallas residents, workers and visitors. Bounded by Main Street, Commerce Street, Harwood and St. Paul, the park’s amenities include City Park Café and shade structures, a splash fountain, playground, urban dog run, garden rooms and a concert green. The shade structures contain a public art commission, SpectraScape by Leni Schwendinger, which contains bands of light that change throughout the year and at sunrise and sunset. The park also features a large refurbished neon sign spelling out “P-A-R-K,” which once hung on a parking garage at the site. The northeast corner of the park features a flower garden with salvaged architectural materials from former commercial structures once on the site and an interpretive sign that details the history of the area. When it opened, Main Street Garden replaced Pegasus Plaza as the site for major downtown events throughout the year.
