The Adolphus

An upscale hotel and Dallas Landmark in the Main Street District of downtown, Hotel Adolphus (The Adolphus) was the tallest building in the state for many years. A baroque masterpiece, it has been a legendary historic Dallas hotel since 1912, when it was erected by St. Louis beer baron Adolphus Busch as a luxury palace worthy of the Lone Star State. The style, elegance and grandeur of the 21-story Beaux Arts building have earned it acclaim as “the most beautiful building west of Venice.”
