Main Street Grapevine
Located in northeast Tarrant County, with small portions in Dallas and Denton counties, Grapevine, Texas, was named after the area’s prevalence of native grapes. Several wineries are found in Grapevine in the city’s actively maintained historic downtown corridor. Adjacent is Grapevine Lake, a large reservoir impounded by the Army Corps of Engineers in 1952 that serves as a water source and recreational area. Grapevine’s historic downtown district along Main Street reflects the architectural style and beautiful design of earlier days. Today, the buildings house eclectic and colorful boutiques with one-of-kind gifts or fine jewelry, antiques stores, wine tasting rooms and friendly restaurants.
