Thanks-Giving Square
Dedicated in 1976, Thanks-Giving Square originally was planned as the first of several traffic-relieving complexes in Downtown Dallas. Today it is a park, chapel and special area that serves as a common sanctuary for citizens to come together to heal divisions and enhance mutual understanding. The first public-private partnership of its kind in Dallas, Thanks-Giving Square includes a landscaped garden park, the Wall of Praise, a Bell Tower, Ring of Thanks and Circle of Giving, Chapel of Thanksgiving, Hall of Thanksgiving and an exhibit area. The complex also sits atop a major section of the underground pedestrian network and the Bullington Truck Terminal. Thousands of visitors to Thanks-Giving Square each year enjoy the uniquely designed areas for meditation and reflection and outstanding architectural features like the Glory Window inside the spiraling Chapel of Thanksgiving.
