Dallas Museum of Art

Located in the Arts District of Downtown Dallas since 1984, the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) is the city’s major art museum previously located in Fair Park. The current DMA building was designed by Edward Larrabee Barnes, and it houses a collection of more than 24,000 objects dating from the third millennium BC to present day. DMA also is noted for its dynamic exhibition policy, its award-winning educational programs and the Mildred R. and Frederick M. Mayer Library (a non-circulating research library), which contains more than 50,000 volumes available to curators and the general public.
