Lake Mead and Hoover Dam
A short trip out of the city leads visitors to explore the manmade wonders of Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam. A concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River on the border Nevada-Arizona border, Hoover Dam consequently has created the recreational and residential marvel of Lake Mead, a 157,900-acre manmade water reservoir.
